The Laviniad is a modern epic poem written in homage to the Aeneid of ancient Rome. After the disappearance of the Trojan War hero Aeneas, his son Ascanius and his wife Lavinia are left to defend the city against the Etruscan tyrant Mezentius.

First published as a hardback, hand-sewn edition in 1994, the Laviniad marked the return of a classical style to modern literature.
